The Travellers dates back to 1782 so you would expect a ghost butthe pub is rumoured to have two. Mary, a Victorian lady and a Roman solder. The characterful interior features a restaurant area, bar drinking area and lounge. The views from the large beer garden over Stainborough are wonderful. Long-serving licensees left in September 2026 and, at the time of writing, the enthusiastic new owner (a local farmer) was still selling in. The kitchen was expected to reopen soon.
